How to set up a Linode Object Storage connection

Dropshare 5.16 or newer

To set up a connection to a Linode Object Storage bucket, you need to create a Linode Connection in the Connections preferences after you've created the bucket in your Linode console.

Step 1: Create Bucket

To create your Linode Object Storage bucket to use with Dropshare, log in to the Linode console, and click on Object Storage, and Create Bucket. Enter a name and select a region of your choice. Afterwards, in the bucket preferences, select AccessACL: Public Read

Step 2: Get Access Keys

Once the bucket has been created, go to Access Keys and create an API Key for Dropshare. Note down the Access Key and Secret Key as you need them in the next step.

Step 3: Set Up Connection

Go to the Dropshare preferences, open the Connections tab, and choose to create a new Linode Conneciton.

Bucket Name Name of the Bucket from step 1
Access Key API Access Key from step 2
Secret Key API Secret Access Key from step 2
Region Region from step 1
Domain Alias If you have a separate domain you want to use, enter it here, e.g. http://my-bucket.com/

Click Test Connection to make sure everything has been set up correctly, and you're done!
