Dropshare 5.16 or newer
To set up a connection to an Alibaba Object Storage bucket, you need to create an Alibaba Connection in the Connections preferences after you've created the bucket in your Alibaba console.
Step 1: Create Bucket
To create your Alibaba Object Storage bucket to use with Dropshare, log in to the Alibaba console, locate Object Storage Service, click on Buckets, and Create Bucket. Enter a name and select a region of your choice. Please note down the Endpoint as you need it in step 3. Create the bucket, and navigate to the bucket preferences. Under Access Control, select Public Read for Bucket ACL.
Step 2: Get Access Keys and Grant Access
Once the bucket has been created, go to User Management and create a user with API keys for Dropshare. Select Create User and Open API Access for the new user. Note down the Access Key and Secret Key as you need them in the next step.
Next, go back to the bucket preferences and select Access Control, Bucket Policy. Select Authorize and choose the newly created user under RAM Users. Select Any Operation under Authorized Operation and save the access policy.
Step 3: Set Up Connection
Go to the Dropshare preferences, open the Connections tab, and choose to create a new Alibaba Conneciton.
