How to set up a Filebase connection

Please note that Dropshare is not compatible with the free plan of Filebase. Dropshare requires the bucket access to be public, which is only available for paid Filebase plans.

Dropshare 5.9 or newer

To set up a connection to a Filebase bucket, you need to create a Filebase Connection in the Connections preferences after you've created the bucket in the Filebase Console.

Step 1: Create Bucket

To create your Filebase bucket to use with Dropshare, log in to the Filebase Console, and click on Create bucket. Enter a name and storage network of your choice. Afterwards, select Access: Public in the list of buckets.

Step 2: Get Access Keys

Once the space has been created, go to Filebase Settings and find the S3 API keys. Note down the S3 API Access Key and S3 API Secret Access Key as you need them in the next step.

Step 3: Set Up Connection

Go to the Dropshare preferences, open the Connections tab, and choose to create a new Filebase Conneciton.

Bucket Name Name of the Bucket from step 1
Access Key S3 API Access Key from step 3
Secret Key S3 API Secret Access Key from step 3

Click Test Connection to make sure everything has been set up correctly, and you're done!
