The recording did not contain any frames. Did you record a still part of your screen?

This error can occur wrongfully if Dropshare does not receive any frames from the macOS screen recording engine.

Possible resolutions are:

  • Re-adding Dropshare to the list of applications that are allowed to record the screen in the macOS Privacy preferences
  • Rebooting your Mac (this solves the issue almost always)
