How to use custom domains with the dsh.re URL shortener

Dropshare 5.55 or newer

dsh.re is the free, built-in URL shortener that comes with Dropshare. It also supports custom domains (without TLS, so no https:// for shortened URLs). 

To set up a custom domain, you need to create a CNAME DNS record to dsh.re for the domain that you wish to use at your domain registrar or DNS service. It needs to be as follows:

your-custom-domain.com CNAME dsh.re

Afterwards, enter that domain (without http://) in the Dropshare URL shortener preferences, like in the screenshot below:
