Why is the landing page omitted when I drag & drop files from some applications (e.g. Napkin.app?)

This is a bug we're unable to fix, but we offer a workaround for it (works with Dropshare 3.10 and newer). Open Terminal.app and execute the following command:

defaults write net.mkswap.Dropshare alwaysIgnoreAltWhenDragging YES

Dropshare 4 and newer

defaults write net.mkswap.Dropshare4 alwaysIgnoreAltWhenDragging YES

This will always produce landing pages for your uploads, even when you hold the ⌥ key while dropping the file onto the Dropshare icon. Read more about this.

To disable this workaround, use the following command:

defaults write net.mkswap.Dropshare alwaysIgnoreAltWhenDragging NO

Dropshare 4 and newer

defaults write net.mkswap.Dropshare4 alwaysIgnoreAltWhenDragging NO
