How to set up a IDrive e2 connection

Dropshare 5.41 or newer

To set up an IDrive e2 connection, enter the Connection Preferences, click Add Connection, select Third-Party Cloud and choose IDrive e2 from the list.

Fill in the following credentials:

Bucket Name Name of the bucket created here
Access Key ID Access Key ID created here. Access Key must be read/write.
Secret Key Secret key associated with the created read/write Access key.
Endpoint Server for the Access Key, is displayed in the IDrive e2 Dashboard when Access Key is created (called Endpoint).
Public Domain or Custom Domain

Public Domain of your bucket, is displayed in the IDrive e2 Dashboard when bucket is turned to public (required). No http:// or https:// prefix. Can also be a Custom Domain (needs CNAME)

When you're done, click Test Connection to make sure everything has been set up correctly. 

 


 

Dropshare 5.40 or older

To set up an IDrive e2 connection, enter the Connection Preferences, click Add Connection, select Third-Party Cloud and choose S3-API Compliant at the bottom left.

Fill in the following credentials:

Bucket Name Name of the bucket created here
Access Key ID Access Key ID created here. Access Key must be read/write.
Secret Key Secret key associated with the created read/write Access key.
Server Server for the Access Key, is displayed in the IDrive e2 Dashboard when Access Key is created (called Endpoint).
Region Leave empty
Domain Alias

Public Domain of your bucket, is displayed in the IDrive e2 Dashboard when bucket is turned to public (required). No http:// or https:// prefix.

Misc.
  • Enable "Use SSL"

 

When you're done, click Test Connection to make sure everything has been set up correctly.
