How to set up a Contabo Object Storage connection

Dropshare 5.33 and newer

To set up a connection to a Contabo Object Storage bucket, you need to create an Contabo Connection in the Connections preferences after you've created the bucket in your Contabo console.

Step 1: Create Bucket

To create your Contabo Object Storage bucket to use with Dropshare, log in to the Contabo console, locate Object Storage, click on Object Storage (Buckets), and Create Bucket. Enter a name and select a region of your choice. Please note down the Region as you need it in step 3. Create the bucket, and navigate to the bucket sharing preferences (Screenshot icon in the list). Enable Make Public, and note down the Public Bucket URL

Step 2: Get Access Keys and Grant Access

Once the bucket has been created, go to Account, Security & Access and obtain the S3 Object Storage Credentials (Access Key & Secret Key) for Dropshare.

Step 3: Set Up Connection

Go to the Dropshare preferences, open the Connections tab, and choose to create a new Contabo Conneciton.

Bucket Name Name of the Bucket from step 1
Access Key Access Key from step 2
Secret Key Secret Access Key from step 2
Region Region from step 1
Public URL Public Bucket URL from Step 1

Click Test Connection to make sure everything has been set up correctly, and you're done!
