How to set up an OpenStack Swift connection

To create a OpenStack Swift connection in Dropshare for iOS, go to Preferences, Manage connections, and tab Add new connection. Select Custom S3 API-Compliant Connection from the list of available connection types.

Enter the following information:

  • Server (e.g. storage.yourprovider.com)
  • Bucket name
  • Access Key (You need to create an AWS/S3 key pair)
  • Secret Key (You need to create an AWS/S3 key pair)
  • Domain Alias (optional, e.g. https://storage.yourprovider.com/v1/AUTH_xyz/bucket_name)

Test connection to validate your information. If everything is alright, you can save the connection and start uploading files to your OpenStack Swift server.
